So I’m going to go here. I write back, fight back and hear you. I also have heard since this woke movement started that I’m too toxic, too angry, too woke (?), too wounded, too black to have a reasonable discussion with, to really get down to the deep issues, to have a “decent” conversation with. I’ve had numerous white woke warriors tell me I’m just hateful and can’t be reasoned with, (WAIT! just take a second and re-read that sentence…..now swallow THAT IRONY and think of all their tactics to get people they don’t like cancelled, I know right!) but “they aren’t trying to go after people, they just want to be heard”….okay. Again, I hear you. But do you hear us (you know, us meaning black people or allies REAL allies, white or otherwise who are actually saying something worth listening to).

This is exactly the game. They (hear me out) find what we go through, the racism the whatever, totally offensive unnecessary and horrid, and they claim they want to DO something about it. Okay, great! But when black people actually TELL THEM, and include them?, voice and reveal the historic hurt and injustices they’ve experienced….they (the well-meaning white folks) pull back, redirect the conversation to you being too wounded too toxic too MUCH, so its your fault for not showing up in a place where they can easily solve your issues. This is the managerial class’ mantra, “you aren’t the KIND OF….whatever that we can help”. They did this in the 1990s with public schools, “these aren’t the kind of students we can teach”….”this person is the kind of person who should be doing….whatever”. They’re always looking for someone to fit the template in their head so they can be cast in the movie of their existence. Notice how EVERYTHING today is about symbolism, especially when it comes to the black people? No real solutions but the hair and nails are poppin’ gurl!!

I say this because look at the Biden-Harris administration. Hundreds of promises made yet “wow, this is so much more, so much harder, so much more complex than we thought….um, nah. These aren’t the kinds of problems we thought they were…. I mean we TRIED but…we’re going to just leave this here now”

So ultimately my point, yup I probably come off angry which ironically, I’m not. I’m tired, like you of watching this game play out with the black community, in that we have solutions to our experiences, we have plans but unless they control it, they’re not interested. YET they use our genuine pain to bash other white people or get something done that they want…while we bleed for their causes and get no respite. And when you point this out, BAM, you’re the angry one, the scary one, its gaslighting….and you’re left with, okay I quit I’m just going to stop being negative and live happy. Which is not a bad conclusion to draw, but if you want real change realize your “anger” is not wrong, or toxic or bad….you HAVE BEEN PLAYED, and you were asked what you thought, how you felt and what you thought should be done. Its truly being groomed, they wanted sex and told you they loved you so no they aren’t going to hit you up afterwards, “you should have known what I meant” re: your fault for being stupid enough to trust me…wisdom looks like anger when you no longer care. #my2sense …. Great article, thanks for your thoughts
